Andersen Library, the Archives, exhibits and underground Caverns will be part of Doors Open Minneapolis May 17 and 18!
All are welcome to visit on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 from 10am-5pm
Elmer L. Andersen Library on the West Bank Campus of the University of Minnesota is the home of Archives and Special Collections. Visitors will be able to tour the caverns 80 feet beneath the building, as well as see and learn about rare and unique collection materials, such as the 1602 Ricci map of the world, and view exhibits such as “Making Room: Women’s Histories From the Northwest Architectural Archives,” about pioneering women architects, and our very own 221b Baker Street sitting room from the Sherlock Holmes collection.
