Drawing Autumn Botanical Art – A Study Break

November 1 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free
Leaves and botanical drawing.

Do you like cozy fall foliage? How about gothic or maybe even eerie botanical images? Join the staff from the Andersen Horticultural Library for a hands-on exploration of botanical art in the atmospheric Upson room in Walter Library (room 102).

We get introduced to the world of botanical art through an exploration of Andersen Horticultural Library’s collection (at the UMN Arboretum in Chaska, Minnesota). Then the drawing will begin with exercises that emphasize the importance of looking closely at intricate details of natural autumnal specimens. Free. All are welcome! Bring a friend! No registration required.
