This workshop for graduate students will provide an overview of the publishing process. We will cover the basics of: peer review, copyright, types of journals, costs of publishing, and “predatory” journals.

This session is part of our Nuts & Bolts of Academic Publishing series. These are aimed at students who are at any stage of their graduate program and are looking for more information on all stages of the publishing process. The focus will be on publishing in scholarly journals. Additional workshops will be scheduled throughout the summer and Fall 2025 semester.
