DESCRIPTION:Share this article:\nShare on X (Twitter)\nShare on Facebook\nShare on LinkedIn\nShare on EmailJoin us at Walter Library (east bank) on the second floor for PAWS (Pet Away Worry and Stress) from UMN Boynton Health\, Arvonne Fraser Library branch of Hennepin County Public Libraries\, and Learning Abroad Center to explore study abroad programs & resources and learn about the public library while hanging out and petting registered therapy animals. \nDrop in at any time to meet registered therapy animal teams—including dogs\, cats\, chickens\, and other therapy animals. Sessions are FREE and open to the University of Minnesota community. All are welcome!! This event is part of  Lock In With the Libraries. \nBoynton Health’s PAWS program provides Animal-Assisted Interactions (AAI) with registered therapy animals – including dogs\, cats\, and chickens – and a licensed clinical social worker staffs each session. While these sessions are not therapy\, they are certainly therapeutic and part of the University’s initiative to support student mental health. PAWS is a safe\, welcoming\, and fun setting that is open and FREE to everyone who is part of the University of Minnesota community. No appointment needed\, and students are invited to attend PAWS as often as they can throughout the school year to interact with the therapy animals\, their handlers\, and other attendees. \n \n
