Gopherbaloo 2026 has been cancelled due to safety and security concerns on campus. Find other History Day Hullabaloos.

Gopherbaloo is the University of Minnesota’s own History Day Hullabaloo! It is open to all History Day students, parents, and teachers.

  • Get one-on-one help from a History Day staff member or undergraduate mentor
  • Conduct primary and secondary research with the guidance of library staff
  • View sample projects
  • Access online resources only available on University Library computers
  • Attend a mini-lesson to learn about project organization, thesis statements, and more
  • Win a prize in a raffle drawing!

Students can arrive or leave at any time. The closest (paid) parking location is the 21st Avenue Ramp. Find more information about getting to the library, including maps and bus routes from University Parking and Transportation Services.
