The Bio-Medical library is hosting the “Yoga ON and OFF the wall” photography collection as the next installment in its rotating Art@Bio-Med exhibit series.

In this exhibit, artists Nancy Chakrin and Laurie Ellis-Young share their worldly adventures, using art as a means of illustrating the synergy between yoga and friendship. It is based upon their book, FRIENDSHIP The Art of the Practice.

Ellis-Young, a globe trotting yoga teacher for over 40 years, and Chakrin, a multi-talented artist and photographer, have shared their talents and deepened their friendship, documented through the lens of a camera.

Their photography depicts the deepening connections with nature while honoring relationships — old and new. Their art shows how friendship and yoga transcend age, gender, race, cultures, and language.
