Spring is here, but we are just now able to share with you the wonderful event, Pop Wagner: Rolling on a Winter’s Night, which was held December 9, 2015 at the University of Minnesota’s Elmer L. Andersen Library.

Pop Wagner — storyteller, songwriter, poet, and fingerstyle guitarist extraordinaire — performed “Rolling on a Winter’s Night,” (traditional); “San Francisco Bay Blues,” (Jesse Fuller); “The Impressionists Two-Step,” (Pop Wagner & Jack Hansen); “Good Friday,” (Pop Wagner); “Old Paint,” (Charley Willis-Jess Morris version); “Bravest Cowboy,” (traditional-Tommy Jarrell version); “Candyman,” (Rev. Gary Davis); and “Shake Sugaree,” (Elizabeth Cotten).

The event was sponsored by the Friends of the University of Minnesota Libraries.
