The lure of land and a new, prosperous life brought many immigrants to the far reaches of the Upper Midwest territories.
This exhibit explores not only the universal perils of frontier homesteading, but the challenges of doing so as a religious and cultural minority, which ultimately shaped the successes and failures of these Jewish pioneers.
