Want to get out of your reading element this summer? Looking for a way to celebrate the International Year of the Periodic Table? Take up our summer reading challenge for a chance to win prizes and find some new favorite books!
Enter the contest for a chance to win a prize!
There are two challenges to choose from. You can read a book from all the genres or be bold and read books from one genre to complete a “family!”
Challenge sheets can be downloaded or picked up at your favorite campus library. Return completed sheets to any library or submit your entry through the online form before September 10, and you’ll be entered into the prize drawing.
Want to share your summer reading progress with us? Post a photo or a screenshot of it using #ReadPeriodicly.
Not sure what to read?
Browse the popular reading collections located in Wilson and Walter libraries. You will find fun reads in the Robert and Virginia McCollister Collection for Contemporary Literature on the first floor of Wilson Library or the popular reading collection located on the second floor of Walter Library.
Stop by or have your book delivered
Before you head off for the summer, stop by one of the libraries to grab a book or browse for something online. Select “Get It” to have it delivered to any campus library.
If you are UMN faculty or staff, we can even deliver books to your office. Don’t forget your local public library also has fantastic books for summer reading.
