Hello! Annie Hoffman here, Student Journalist for the libraries. I am officially done with spring semester!
I’m so grateful to my instructors for their flexibility and ingenuity as we pivoted to online instruction for the second half of the semester. Here’s what else I’ve been up to!
Even though I’m finished attending class on Zoom, there is still a lot of Zooming going on around here. I have jumped on video calls for game nights, to sing Happy Birthday, and even to attend a spelling bee. It is a little surreal how quickly socializing this way has become normal. But I’m grateful for the ability to laugh with people I love.
Thank your awesome professor!
Did you also have at least one awesome professor this semester? Tell them how awesome they are here.
The Thank a Teacher (or Staff ) Form is an easy way to let someone know how they’ve made a positive impact on your education. The recipient will receive your note after grades are submitted, and you have the option to be anonymous.
The Chairs Are Where the People Go
I just finished reading The Chairs Are Where the People Go by Misha Glouberman. It’s a quick and profound read, a collection of Glouberman’s musings on everything from religion to teaching charades classes. I recommend it!
This week I’m grateful for good weather and good friends. Stay home, stay healthy, and keep reading!
