We are pleased to announce the winner of the annual UMN Libraries Book cart naming contest is “Cart2D2.” Thank you to the over 750+ people who voted on our list of book cart name finalists. “Cart2D2” will be joining “Dolly Carton” – last year’s winner at  Wilson Library. Since Wilson Library has over 1.5 million books on the shelves these carts get a work out!

In case you need context, the UMN Libraries (we see you MnDot) once again invited students, staff, faculty, alumni and the public to help us name one of our book carts! We collected your clever name submissions in early February. Music seemed to be a big inspiration. Voting happened in late February and early March and we revealed the winner at the Paradise with PAWS reading party on March 6.
