Disembodied Reembodied, a new exhibit at the Wangensteen Historical Library, addresses medical depictions of women’s bodies in the library collection and will also feature take-home zines and interactive online content. Disembodied/Reembodied is a collaborative project between artist-in-residence Jenny Schmid, Wangensteen Historical Library of Biology & Medicine curators Emily Beck and Lois Hendrickson, and Clinical Ethics Assistant Professor Jaime Konerman-Sease.
This project is funded by the inaugural 2024 RIO artist in residence grant supporting art and science collaboration.
The exhibit will be available to view at the Wangensteen Historical Library, 2-340 Phillips-Wangensteen Building (PWB) second floor concourse, from Oct. 24, 2024 through Feb. 28, 2025 during building hours.
