The Wangensteen Historical Library of Biology and Medicine collections contain 73,000 volumes of rare books, journals and manuscripts, historical materials and objects about health, medicine, and biological sciences from 1430 to 1945.
View the current exhibit “Women’s Work: Shaping Healthcare in the Rural Midwest.” Rural health begins in the home, and through this exhibit we seek to examine what women’s roles were in keeping their family healthy and educated on food safety.
