Did you survive mid-terms? Ready to relax? Ready to ease into spring break? Want to check out a fun reading book for spring break? Wilson Library might not be a “tropical” destination, but with PAWS animals, mocktails, and time to just relax and read for fun – it can be an oasis of paradise!
Join us for a Reading Party with PAWS (Pet Away Worry and Stress) from UMN Boynton Health on Thursday, March 6 anytime from 11:30-1:30. Check out a fun book from our spring break pop-up library (or bring your own), grab a mocktail, and hang out with our wonderful registered therapy animal teams—including dogs, cats, chickens, and other therapy animals.
FREE and open to the University of Minnesota community. All are welcome!! No registration required.
Boynton Health’s PAWS program provides Animal-Assisted Interactions (AAI) with registered therapy animals – including dogs, cats, and chickens – and a licensed clinical social worker staffs each session. While these sessions are not therapy, they are certainly therapeutic and part of the University’s initiative to support student mental health. PAWS is a safe, welcoming, and fun setting that is open and FREE to everyone who is part of the University of Minnesota community. No appointment needed, and students are invited to attend PAWS as often as they can throughout the school year to interact with the therapy animals, their handlers, and other attendees.
