Join us for a U of M InstaMeet to celebrate the 100th birthday of Walter Library. An InstaMeet is a way for Gophers (current, past and future) to meet one another and take photos around their favorite old library together. Meet at the giant chair on the Mall near Walter Library, move to Walter Library including the unique Upson room, the Great Hall, and Toaster. Next move to other campus locations like the Washington Avenue bridge (with a great view of downtown Minneapolis), the silver-clad Frank Gehry-designed Weisman Art Museum and more. We will be hosting prize drawings including Libraries t-shirts and more. Tag us at @umnlib and #Walter100.
