Choreographer, dancer, and poet Mary Moore Easter will read from her memoir “The Way She Wants To Get There: Telling On Myself” (Nodin, 2022). The memoir traces Moore Easter’s development as a dancer during the decade between 1968 and 1979, a pivotal era in American race relations, women's rights, and the arts. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of the University of Minnesota Bookstores. Please register if you plan to attend the event on Jan. 19, 2024.
