Join us on Oct. 30 for a talk on climate narratives in Finnish-American history by Lotta Leiwo, University of Helsinki PhD Candidate in History and Cultural Heritage. Leiwo’s research focuses on Finnish American socialist women’s history and the cultural history of climate. Additionally, Daniel Necas, Archivist at the Immigration History Research Center Archives, will present the IHRCA records available both on-site and online, as well as provide guidance on how to access them.

In this session, instructors and technologists will explore and discuss possibilities for integrating a student-created media assignment into their curriculum. This hour-long active learning session will include an overview of real-world student-media assignment examples supported by Media Services and related campus media support services. Participants are invited to bring their student-created media project ideas! Session time will be 1 hour with a hands-on working session offered the following week.
