Calling all game gurus and thrill-seekers! Ready to swap textbooks for joysticks? Summon your inner ninja with Fruit Ninja or channel your inner rockstar with Beat Saber. Take a break from the slog of finals studying and reset your brain with games!
Every student experiences stress, and it’s important to find your strategies for taking care of yourself. In this workshop, we will use an app called Hoame to experience a guided meditation exercise. You will also learn how you can borrow a VR headset if you decide to make this part of your strategy. Need a way to destress as you prep for finals? Want to liven up your study space? Join us as we teach you how to model your own desktop zen garden and send it to 3D print! Fill your garden with whatever brings you peace, whether that be fun-shaped rocks and plants or dinosaurs and video game characters. You'll go home with everything you'll need to design and create your garden - just bring yourself and a willingness to learn and create!
Learn how to use sewing and embroidery machines to make anything involving fabric! During this workshop you can expect to learn how to operate and thread the machines, create custom designs, and make your very own Block M pillow! Feel free to stay after to make one for yourself!
Join the Health Sciences Library for Stressbusters Tea & Treats on Thursday, May 8 from 11:00am-3:00pm at our service desk on the 5th floor of PWB. Need a complete break from cramming? Check out the HSL Makerspace for button making, 3D printing, sewing, creating vinyl stickers, and other crafts. The VR Studio is also open for enjoying gaming, wellness and meditation apps.

Drop in at any time to meet registered therapy animal teams—including dogs, bunnies, cats, chickens, and other therapy animals. Sessions are FREE and open to the University of Minnesota community. All are welcome!
Drop in anytime during the hour to learn about Gravity Sketch VR, a 3D modeling program where you sketch in virtual and mixed reality. These sketches can be exported to CAD software, Unity 3D projects or 3D printed. This workshop is for anyone interested in design or virtual reality.
