Walter, Wilson libraries to open earlier on Sundays

Beginning February 11, Walter and Wilson libraries will open two hours earlier — at 10 a.m. instead of noon — on Sundays for the remainder of Spring Semester, with the exception of Spring Break. 

Campus users can also access Magrath Library at 10 a.m. on Sundays, but they will need their UCard to enter the building before noon. 

The Libraries website has current information for the hours of all library buildings

Summary of changes

  • Wilson Library will open on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. The entire building will be open to users at that time. 
  • Walter Library will open on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. The building and the Library space will be open to the public at that time. 
  • Users can access Magrath Library’s extended study area at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays but will need their UCard to enterThe Library building will open at noon on that day.

This change is in response to a request from the Minnesota Student Association, and is supported by the Libraries, the College of Science and Engineering, and the U of M Department of Public Safety.
