The ABC of It Why Children’s Books Matter, The Book

The book, The ABC of It: Why Children’s Books Matter will be on sale at the opening and Leonard S. Marcus will be available to sign. You can preorder your book from Red Balloon if you can’t make the event and want a signed copy. 

If you have a group (book group, scouts, alumni club, etc) look at the panel discussions or OLLI classes.

OLLI- Free, All Are Welcome, Let us know that you and/or your group are coming so we set up enough chairs.

The ABC of It: Why Children’s Books Matter
 
This class will be divided into three segments exploring the foundations of the publishing of children’s books, how books get into the hands of children, and the art of children’s books, using the physical exhibit of manuscripts rare books, and original art at the Elmer L. Andersen Library as the living text. Lisa comments on children’s books, curriculum, and reviews at the Kerlan blog, The Blue Ox Review. She has served on the Newbery, Caldecott, and National Book Award juries.
