In this workshop, we’ll demonstrate the basics of finishing a 3D print, including sanding, filling gaps, priming, painting, and basic weathering and texturing techniques. Participants will practice sanding with guided instruction to ensure a smooth finish—you are welcome to bring your own prints for sanding, or you may use a provided practice print.
Need a study break? Ready to try to beat the clock? Your team will have 30 minutes to solve a series of puzzles. Can you navigate “time” to unlock the mystery? Teams (2-5 people) will enjoy a short, fast-paced, challenging puzzle room experience along with snacks! Free. The sign up is first-come first-served, so secure your spot soon!

Join us for an introductory CNC cutting workshop, where you'll learn to design and create a laser-cut, press-fit marble maze! In this hands-on session, you'll explore how to turn ideas into precise designs using CAD and vector graphics software, including Fusion 360 and Inkscape. We'll guide you through converting CAD sketches into vector designs, optimizing files for laser cutting, and a crash course on vector graphics software. Expect to leave with practical skills in CAD modeling, vector design, and CNC preparation — plus seeing your designs brought to life!

Join us on April 27 for an evening of learning about the myths of Jewish migration, as viewed through the life story of David Blumenfeld, whose papers are archived in the Upper Midwest Jewish Archives. Guests will enjoy presentations by two of Blumenfeld’s family members, Professor Deborah Hertz and Frederick Hertz, with introductory remarks by Robert Hertz. Blumenfeld’s original manuscripts and his self-published books will be on display.
