Join the Toaster Team for a short walk to WAM, connect with fellow creatives, and get a guided tour of two exciting exhibits bound to provoke conversation, inspiration, and innovation…

• Why Look at Animals? Through a selection of varied images from the Weisman’s collection, Considine challenges the conventionally romanticized and infantilized perspective of animal life in order to reveal a millennia-old intimacy between “us” (humans) and “them” (animals).
• Urban Cadence tells teh multifaceted story of two urban environments – Lagos, Nigeria and Johannesburg, South Africa – experienced through the artistic expressions of photography and video.

About the Weisman Art Museum

The Weisman Art Musuem presents and interprets works of art, offering exhibitions that place art within relevant cultural, social and historical contexts. In its 70-year history, the museum has worked with more than fifty departments, presenting the ideas of a great university in multi-disciplinary and widely collaborative projects.
