In this workshop, we will demonstrate how to use Bodyswaps, a tool for UMN students, staff and faculty to practice job interview skills and other interpersonal skills. This can be a start of your self-paced journey to become more confident applying for jobs and internships! Bodyswaps uses virtual reality to place you in a realistic setting where you talk to an avatar, and it can give you feedback such as whether you're coming off too confident or not confident enough. It tracks your head movements and body posture to give you advice about non-verbal communication.

Please join us for an in-person screening of the documentary “Change the Subject,” on April 21, 3-4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served! The documentary is also available online to view for free any time at the Change the Subject website. After the screening, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., a panel of U of M librarians will discuss the film and their social justice work from. The panel discussion will be streamed in the screening room space for in-person attendees and on Zoom webinar for remote attendees.

We will also talk about Chat GPT, Microsoft Co-pilot and other AI tools, what they do and how to think through using them (or not). You will learn strategies and tools to cite sources, avoid plagiarism and about other resources to get additional support.
