Every student experiences stress, and it’s important to find your strategies for taking care of yourself. In this workshop, we will use an app called Hoame to experience a guided meditation exercise. You will also learn how you can borrow a VR headset if you decide to make this part of your strategy. Zotero can then be used to create citations in a large number of citation styles which can be added to Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Libre Office. We will send a zoom link to students who are registered the day before the workshop.

In this workshop, we will demonstrate how to use Bodyswaps, a tool for UMN students, staff and faculty to practice job interview skills and other interpersonal skills. This can be a start of your self-paced journey to become more confident applying for jobs and internships! Bodyswaps uses virtual reality to place you in a realistic setting where you talk to an avatar, and it can give you feedback such as whether you're coming off too confident or not confident enough. It tracks your head movements and body posture to give you advice about non-verbal communication.

Got 15 minutes to spare? Come learn how you can use Primal VR at home with a borrowed headset to study anatomy in 3D virtual reality. Attendees can come and go at any point during the hour.
Please join us for an in-person screening of the documentary “Change the Subject,” on April 21, 3-4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served! The documentary is also available online to view for free any time at the Change the Subject website. After the screening, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., a panel of U of M librarians will discuss the film and their social justice work from. The panel discussion will be streamed in the screening room space for in-person attendees and on Zoom webinar for remote attendees.
