Get ready for finals and the end of semester! Bring your homework and get stuff done with structured work time and study breaks. Join us at Wilson Library (west bank) for the Long Night Against Procrastination on Wednesday, April 29, 6:30-9:30 p.m. We will have structured work time, fun study breaks with snacks and activities, music and more. Don’t miss the pizza!
M Food Co will be providing coffee and treats to get things started.
Drop by anytime during the event. No registration necessary. All are welcome. Bring your friends and get stuff done!
Meet with fellow learners on Zoom and learn how to use Zotero to create your own database of citations, PDFs, images, webpages, video and audio files and more. Zotero can then be used to create citations in a large number of citation styles which can be added to Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Libre Office. We will send a zoom link to students who are registered the day before the workshop.
Have you heard about impact factors, h-indexes, or other metrics used to describe a researcher's work? Do you know what these numbers actually mean? This workshop will explain journal-level and author-level metrics and discuss what they can — and can't say — about the quality of research.
This session is part of our Nuts & Bolts of Academic Publishing series. These are aimed at students who are at any stage of their graduate program and are looking for more information on all stages of the publishing process. This series focuses on publishing in journals.
