Join us Oct. 1 for an open house and help us celebrate the 100th birthday of Walter Library. The evening kicks off with a brief presentation that explores the evolution of the University Libraries — including the history of Walter Library, shifting approaches to caring for our rare and unique collections, and how the Libraries continues to change to meet the ongoing needs of scholars, students, and community users. Afterward, you will have an opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, enjoy refreshments, and interact with our expert librarians and archivists.
Learn how to use Zotero to create your own database of citations, PDFs, images, webpages, video and audio files and more. Zotero can then be used to create citations in a large number of citation styles which can be added to Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Libre Office.

Let’s talk about love! From love letters to break up letters, the course of true love never did run smooth. Join us for the 2024-2025 season of First Fridays as we share matters of the heart from collections across Archives and Special Collections. This season kicks off on Friday, Oct. 4 with presentations from the Upper Midwest Literary Archives and the YMCA Archives.
