In this hands-on session, you'll explore how to turn ideas into precise designs using CAD and vector graphics software, including Fusion 360 and Inkscape. We'll guide you through converting CAD sketches into vector designs, optimizing files for laser cutting, and a crash course on vector graphics software. Expect to leave with practical skills in CAD modeling, vector design, and CNC preparation — plus seeing your designs brought to life!

Libraries at the Homecoming Block Party 2025

Homecoming 2025 is almost here. The UMN Libraries will host a few tables at the the new Homecoming Block Party at the U on the Mall in front of Walter Library on Monday, October 6 starting at 4pm.

The UMN Libraries will have a button-making craft station with the Toaster Innovation Hub. We will showcase campus and Homecoming history from the UMN Archives including images and yearbooks. View historic photos of Homecoming decorations, Parade, the Marching Band, football and more.
